Most of us in the ETL are on summer break, given that the university is on summer break! Of course, many of our project teams are not taking a break and are involved in active research/development. We'll resume our regular meeting schedule around August/September 2008. If you are interested in learning more about and/or joining the ETL, please do not hesitate to contact us!

| We have recently finalized the ETL Project Hosting Guidelines.
We
have decided to outsource all project-hosting services (whenever
feasible and appropriate) mostly to Google Code and select Google
services (e.g. Google Apps, which keeps getting better and better!) but
do not impose this upon ETL projects. It is our general view that
Google's
services offer a compelling balance of quality, reliability,
availability, and agility--values we share with Google. In full
disclosure, we are not funded by Google and have based our decisions
purely on technical and business merit. That said, we think Google
provides a solid foundation for open source project hosting for the
long haul. |
